Date : 16 September , 2013 Topic: "WHERE ARE THEY" Scripture Reading : But select capable men from all the people—men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain—and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens. - Ex 18:17 Two major traits stand out in the verse above and define the man that God would prefer as a leader. TRUTH and CONTENTMENT. Too many of us speak about the failings of Government and many of us feel the pain of a failed system, but the problem is not the presence of Corruption as much as it is the absence of Men of Truth and Men who Hate Covetousness. Moses was admonished to place these men as leaders over tens, fifties, hundreds and thousands. This reflects a thinking that such men of integrity were in reasonable abundance. If Moses was a Nigerian leader, would he be able to apply this advice? Would he find you and I as men of truth and content with what we have? Let us bring the issue of Governance back home to the way we act in our places of influence. Let us make a difference and let us do what is right as little leaders. PRAYER CONFESSION In Jesus Name I declare that I love righteousness and I hate wickedness, covetousness and greed. I set my heart on things eternal. I choose to live in integrity and I eschew all greed and covetousness. My life will be a shining example of integrity, faith and holiness in Jesus Name.
