Please think before you comment .... Two vehicles involved in a Motor Vehicle Accident on the B2 route in the Long Beach vicinity. A Nampol bakkie was apparently rear-swiped by a sedan vehicle [taxi] when the driver of the bakkie tried to execute an overtake maneuver. The sedan vehicle was also busy overtaking from behind and was not observed by the driver of the bakkie as the sedan vehicle was in his blind spot at the time. The driver of the bakkie lost control resulting in the bakkie veering off the road overturning numerous times. The driver of the bakkie sustained less serious injuries and were treated at the scene before being transported to hospital by the St Gabriel Community Trust Ambulance Service. Apparently no truck involved and neither did the driver of the bakkie leave the scene. The actual cause of the collision and the series of events preceding it remain unclear and will form the subject of a Nampol investigation.
