Date: 1st Aug, 2014 62nd All India Railway Badminton Championship for Men & Women Declared Open The South Central Railway Sports Association (SCRSA) is hosting the 62nd All India Railway Shuttle Badminton Championship for Men & Women at Multi Purpose Indoor Stadium, Railway Sports Complex Grounds, Secunderabad from 1st to 6th August, 2014. Shri Gajanan Mallya, Senior Deputy General Manager & President, (SCRSA) declared open the championship today i.e., 1st August, 2014 in the presence of Shri K.V. Siva Prasad, General Secretary, SCRSA and Shri N.Srinivasa Raju, Secretary, Badminton, SCRSA, Other Senior Railway Officials and Sports Officials. While addressing the gathering including the participating teams, Shri Gajanan Mallaya exhorted the players to show their talent to bring laurels to their respective teams. Further he said that SCRSA has arranged all needed facilities for the comfortable stay of the participating teams. In his welcome address, Shri N.Srinivasa Raju said that 19 Men Teams & 5 Women Teams are participating in the championship. During this championship he said, probables for the Indian Railways team will be selected for the forth coming Senior National Championships. During the Inaugural day Mens Team Championship matches were held.
