Sir, Sub: Continuous attacks on MBT workers by Mumtaz Ahamed Khan (MLA) MIM Party-Inaction of Inspector of Police, Bhawani Nagar Police Station,Req-Reg. Ref: 1) Attack on MBT Polling agents on polling day 2) Attack on Syed Perwaiz Pasha (MBT worker) on 20th May 2014. With subject cited above it is to state that since the announcement of General Election-2014 Mumtaz Ahamed Khan (MLA) MIM Party has been threatening and attacking MBT Party workers in Yakutpura Assembly Constituency especially in Talab Katta area coming under Bhawani Nagar Police Station limits. Number of complaints to the Inspector of Police Bhawani Nagar to take action against Mumtaz Ahamed Khan (MLA) there has been no action on behalf of the police. The said matter was brought to the notice of Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), Asst. Commissioner of Police (Santosh Nagar) but no action is being taken o control the activities of Mumtaz Ahamed Khan (MLA).There has been insistence of Mumtaz Ahamed Khan (MLA) roaming along with rowdy elements carrying Swords, hockey sticks, rods etc openly in Talab Katta and Bhawani Nagar areas in the presences of Police officers for no action has been taken. On 30th April 2014 (Polling Day) Mumtaz Ahamed Khan bet many MBT polling agents for which a complaint was made in Bhawani Nagar Police Station and cases were also registered. There has been no arrest made in the said cases till now by the Inspector of Police, Bhawani Nagar. On 20th May 2014 again Mumtaz Ahamed Khan (MLA) attacked Syed Perwaiz Pasha (MBT worker) and threatened other MBT workers not to work for the party in Talab Katta area for which a complaint was made in Bhawani Nagar Police Station and a case was registered.Till now no arrest had been made by the Inspector of Police, Bhawani Nagar in said case. In the above attack on MBT worker by MIM MLA one Mr. Sri Sailam a Sub-Inspector of Police, Bhawani Nagar dress was torned and got minor injuries for which the said Sub-Inspector neither gave a complaint nor a case has been registered against the MIM MLA. Due to inaction of the Bhawani Nagar Police against the accused and to control the activities of Mumtaz Ahamed Khan (MLA) the MBT workers are facing threat to their lives Hence it is requested to take necessary action against the Inspector of Police, Bhawani Nagar for his inaction in the above said cases and necessary steps may be taken for arrest of the accused.
