Date: 24/05/2014 Motor vehicle accident on the B2 route at the Walvis Bay exit resulted in 4 people sustaining injuries. Three vehicles involved when an overtaking action by a taxi driver apparently went horribly wrong resulting in at least one patient sustaining serious injuries. The injured were stabilized at the scene by St Gabriel Community Ambulance Service, Walvis Bay State Ambulance Service and Lifelink Rescue Services before being transported to the Walvis Bay State Hospital for further management and care. Due to the seriousness of the injuries sustained one of the injured was transferred to Windhoek by ambulance for specialist intervention and care. The actual cause of the collision and the series of events preceding it remain unclear and will form the subject of a Nampol investigation.
