Date: September 19th, 2013 No: 13-35 Subject: Biggest Loser RunWalk Road Closures This Saturday, September 21st 2013, the City of Racine will welcome the Biggest Loser RunWalk Half Marathon, 5K, and Kids 1 Mile event to Racine. There will be limited road closures during the event. The closures are expected to run from 7:00 AM through Noon. For citizens living in the neighborhood from Augusta St to Lombard Ave between Main St and Michigan Blvd 3 intersections will be completely shut down. Those intersections are: Lombard/Chatham St William/Main St Augusta/Main St Citizens will be able to gain access to and from the area by using one of the officer controlled intersections. Officers will allow traffic to flow when it is safe to do so. Those intersections are: Lombard/Michigan Melvin/Main Wolff/Main Additional Road Closures: Goold St east of Main St 2000 blk of Michigan Blvd Hoffert Drive Michigan Blvd between Barker and Dodge St Main St between Dodge and State St Lake Av between 6th St and Gas Light Drive Water Street from 4th/Wisconsin to Marquette St *access to the marina and Sam’s River Road will be available at Center St. the intersection will be officer controlled. 500blk of Main St 6th St. eastbound from Main St will be closed. *limited access will be available for vehicles with boats to access the boat launch.
