Date two of my staycation has been a total fail so far.. After a trip to Frys electronics for a couple of Blu-rays Liz and I discussed the idea of camping via texting. We both thought this would probably be a good idea and I proceeded to head to the closest sporting good store to purchase camping equipment. Well besides buying a tent I realized I needed a tarp, some proper outdoor sleeping blankets and a zillion other things that I had not thought of. I also realized that my fishing kit was not in great shape and the stuff in front of me looked all very cheap, so I decided to replace a few things which turned into many things. After waiting in line for what seemed like 25 minutes for some people to go over some shoes they were trying to buy with the lady at the cash register I finally got checked out and my grand total was errm ...much higher than I was expecting. But I thought to myself , you know have to buy this stuff once, so its not that bad. After arriving home I began prepping Lizs car for a long trek. I then started pulling out coolers from the garage and getting out camping gear I havent seen in years. I also realize that I probably didnt need a lot of the fishing equipment that I got and was really starting to worry about that price tag. It was right about the time I started thinking about the rest of the trip and exactly where we might be going that I realized I really dont like tent camping, and thats why I havent done it in years. So Im am taking 99% of what I bought back to Dicks sports authority tomorrow, and try to come up with a better plan for tomorrows festivities.
