Dave Belanger This is a picture of the Spring bird I killed this year in my home state of Michigan . It made the State Record Book weighing in at 23 lbs. He sported an 11" Beard and had 1 1/4" Spurs. And to too it off , I took him on State Land. I shot him at 10:40 am. It had been raining all morning . I hit the woods at 10:29am after the rain eased up and when I knew the hens had left the Toms. Scouting the day before was the key to success that day. I was hunting with my best friend Tod and Steve Stanton at their family cabin in Claire, Michigan . A Friend of the Sho-Me Bowhunters
