Dave & I saw my favorite musical of all time today on the big screen: Into The Woods. Its always a gamble when they convert a musical into a movie in my opinion, but I was pleased with the result. I had expected things to be changed, so even though I was sad the Baker didnt sing No more, I appreciated that they at least played the music in the background to underscore the beautifully heartfelt scene. I missed Bernadette Peters as the witch, but was pleased with Meryl Streep – I especially loved the blue hair! LOL Most of all, I love how this music always takes me back to so many great times. It reminds me of high school drama class and the fun times I had with Lisa OHara, John Kelly, Angela Meidt Marin, Aaron Fuksa, Luthien Brackett, Teresa Smith Robinson, Joseph Barrows, Joe Wallace, Sean Hanrahan, Libby Libs, Kristina Wilderness, and so many others. 😊 It also brings me back to college when Jason Iannuzzi tried sooooo hard to produce ITW at Westminster, but settled for Company with Melissa Thornton, Lisa Straub Trzcinski, Bryce Hayes, Adam Eggleston, Kelliann Festa, Amy Dilts, Allison Murphy Iannuzzi, Christopher Judd, Jeremiah Goldovitz, and all of our other fantastic stars! 🌠 Finally, it reminds me of my senior voice recital with Bryce, Kelliann, & Kate Albe Wadley and how lovely it was to sing Moments in the Woods with Bryce & No one Is Alone with those 3 talented vocalists. 🎤 Only musicals can do that for me. 😍❤️😍❤️😍❤️ Sending love to all of you whose memories are touching my heart and wishes for a joyful, musical, prosperous 2015 that brings you your happy ever after!
