Dave Murrays Latest STL forecast and weather disco…THE WEEKEND ...November 29-30, 2014: *** The last weekend of the month...and it brings warmer weather...lots of clouds but warmer...a cold front comes crashing in late Sunday with a 20 to 25 degree temperature drop.*** SATURDAY: A mix of clouds and some sun...alot of clouds around...warmer WINDS: South 5-15 M.P.H. HIGH: 60 degrees SATURDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy and chilly WINDS: South 5-10 M.P.H. LOW: 48 DEGREES. SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy...spot rain mid to late day...mild...until late afternoon...that is when temperatures will crash...windy WINDS: Southwet to Northwest 15-30 M.P.H. HIGH: 63 DEGREES...upper 30s by sunset Spot freezing rain early Monday...then clearing...a much colder day...30 for the high on Monday THE WEATHER DISCO: All about that southerly flow for the weekend and to close out the month of November...there is some low to mid level moisture trapped with this front...so it is not a bright sunny weekend...partly to mostly cloudy skies... gets windy on sunday. There will be an impressive cold front cutting into town mid to late afternoon on Sunday... and it will bring a few things with it...first...ahead of the front gusty winds with a few spotty rain showers...limited rain...then with the front a sharp wind shift the northwest and a big-time crash in temperatures...going from the low 60s to the upper 30s in the matter of about 2 hours...we will really know it when the front passes mid to late day on Sunday. Third is a tight and shallow cold layer of air getting trapped at the ground layers with alittle warmer air trapped aloft... this sets up a little freezing rain situation...late Sunday night into early Monday morning...Im not overly impressed with the situation...but temps will be below freezing Sunday night(25 degrees) and there will be marginal moisture to squeeze out...and with the set-up anything that falls will be freezing rain and freezing drizzle...maybe a light glaze on things late Sunday night into early Monday... a situation to be watched...not major but lets watch...very cold on Monday and Tuesday...a little warmer on Wednesday...near average...after that things get questionable...so lets sit on late next week until later...not thinking anything big at this stage of the game.
