Dave Murrays Latest STL forecast and weather disco...WEDNESDAY...January 7, 2015: ***Deep cold and strong gusty winds will make it tough to be outside for any length of time...deep cold takes us into Thursday with severe and dangerous wind chills*** WEDNESDAY: Partly sunny...windy and bitter cold...severe wind chills WINDS: Northwest 15-30 M.P.H. HIGH: 8 degrees...with a slow drop...wind chills -10 to -20 degrees WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Clear skies, windy and deep cold WINDS: Northwest 15-30 M.P.H. LOW: 0 DEGREES....away from the city heat island -5 degrees...wind chills -10 to -20 degrees THURSDAY: Lots of sunshine... not as cold...but still very windy...so tough to be outside. WINDS: Southeast 15-25 M.P.H. HIGH: 22 DEGREES...wind chills still -10 to -20 degrees Lighter winds but still cold Friday...The weeknd... some light snow and flurries Saturday night and Sunday THE WEATHER DISCO: A few things to watch and think about...this is very impressive cold for STL...especially with out snow on the ground. Watch your home barometer...the record high pressure in Janaury is 30.99...we will have a shot that breaking that number...also extra care being outside for you, family and dont forget pets. This is not record cold...but impressive cold with wicked wind chills. High pressure in control through Thursday...the winds will drop off Friday...The start of the weekend is quiet...then a shot at light snow and snow flurries Saturday night and Sunday..the southwest storm acting as the trigger will pass well to our south...not a big factor with our weather...Temperatures a little better next week...but no heat wave...the arctic will be tapped..and ready to re-charge.
