David Anhaght, Definition of Philosophy, ca. 1280, (Matenadaran Ms. 1746), Yerevan, Armenia Դավիթ Անհաղթ/David Anhaght, (translated as David the Invincible), was an Armenian philosopher of the 5th century. He is best known as the author of several works including Definition of Philosophy and Exegesis of Aristotle. He was the member of Neoplatonic school and the founder of a non-religious branch of Medieval Armenian philosophy. David Anhaght worked out of Alexandria, Egypt and was highly interested and gave courses of Aristotles Physics. The David Anhaght medal, the highest ranking medal granted by the Armenian Academy of Philosophy is named after him.
