David Cameron for many is a difficult to pigeonhole. If you give - TopicsExpress

David Cameron for many is a difficult to pigeonhole. If you give yesterdays speech a fair hearing & listen to it full it will become clear what makes him tick. The Conservatives will have a difficult task getting in next year. Ranged against them is Labours client state built by Gordon Brown: eight or nine million people who are either state employees or beneficiaries of the welfare system & Nigel Farges miserable band who want to turn the clock back to their version of Merrie England. If they do pull it off it will be a significant political achievement. In 2010 sophisticates opined that it was an election to lose as whoever won it would have such unpalatable things to do. Labour were quite relieved when they lost. Now they are angry with the Coalition for not fixing the deficit quickly enough allowing them to come back to power & carry on as before. Now they face the fact that they will have to shrink the state if they got into office. Something that they are not designed or have the mentality to do. Next year is going to be fascinating. dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-2777278/Speech-finally-gave-Tories-hope-Last-week-Miliband-showed-ISN-T-fit-govern-Yesterday-says-MAX-HASTINGS-Cameron-faults-proved-is.html
