David Stoecklein man... What an eye, and a great mentor to many including myself. He taught himself photography and the business of it, and I was blessed enough to assist and work with Dave for a bit. Many of his ideas on light, composition story, and so much more rubbed off on me and influenced my future life as a photographer. Though at times out hard heads butted i had immense respect for the man. He was a hard worker chasing light, and thought about how each image he was creating told that deep story. Many of the rugged life of the cowboy or the deep idaho snow. Dave was an artist and Im happy to have known him. I will miss those days i would run into him sometimes with a glass of whiskey and a huge smile.
