David Tingley via Amy McNeese-Mechan This is the kind of lawsuit that will become commonplace if the Trans-Pacific Partnership goes through. Its a trade agreement in name only; its true purpose is to take power away from elected governments and hand them over to the boardrooms of multi-national corporations, through the power of those very governments court systems. The TPP scares the livin beejeezus out of me. Its a lovely shortcut for the transnationals to change the laws of a dozen countries at once without any of those messy details like the democratic process. Sign and share the petition, please. Presumably youve already signed a petition or two in opposition to the TPP itself.
