David and I went to the doctor today and he has recommended that Davids leg be removed below the knee (we hope). He is in considerable pain and it has not healed in 3 years and now the bone is showing. Tomorrow we go to the surgeon who did his colon cancer surgery and he will let us know more. We were told that he will probably admit him to the hospital and do all of the blood flow studies to see where they have to remove. He should be in the hospital 3-5 days (?) and then home with PT. In about 2 months they with fit him with a prosthesis and then his quality of life should begin again. He is OK with the decision, in fact it was his idea because of the pan he has been in. God is good and looking out for us. We prayed along with all of our friends and got the answer the Lord wanted us to receive. Right now, I feel peaceful and like a weight has been lifted. As does David. Please continue to keep him in your prayers that this will be successful and we can go back to our life. I love you all for the prayers over the last 3 years and will post what the surgeon says tomorrow, as to when this happens. ♥♥♥ Patty and David.
