Davids funeral happened today. It was very sad, but also beautiful in its own way. A lot of people came, and the Rabbi mentioned that in Jewish tradition this is a sign of great respect. During the service, the words from Davids cousin Stephen were particularly moving and touching. There was a special moment when the coffin was taken out and the sun suddenly came out from behind the clouds (it had been raining all morning) and the whole place filled with light. Davids sweet Mother personally greeted every single person and thanked them very graciously for being a friend to her son. The messages on this page have all been sent to his family. It was 12 pages of such beautiful expressions that the Rabbi was quite blown away! He told me (Wendy), I wish Id met him - and it just makes me feel that we are all so lucky that we did. This last message is from Charan Anand: I want to convey my deep condolences to Davids family and friends. David was my very dear friend and I enjoyed his company all these years ever since I met him in 1970. He was not only loved by me but thousands of people who came in contact with him. His beautiful nature touched our hearts. His soul is now free from the body and resting in peace with the Divine. I pray the Creator grants strength to his mother and all his family and friends for this loss. He will always remain in our hearts.
