Davie Police are searching for a driver involved in a fatal hit and run on Tuesday. A man, identified as Edward Compton, was found in the eastbound lanes on the 7100 block of Stirling Road around 5 a.m. He was wearing dark blue shorts, dark green T-shirt and black sneakers, police said. Investigators estimate he was hit between 4:30 and 5 a.m. and later died of his injuries.
