Davis Drive is the issue I hear about most at the doors. Fixing this mess is my top priority, my opponent does not even recognize it as a top issue in town. I have met with businesses suffering and others have already closed. I have met with residents who are tired of the increased volume and speeding on side streets as a result of this project. I have met with commuters who have told me it can take as long as 45 minutes to get across town. I have not met a person in town who thinks it makes sense to spend $143,000,000 on 2.6km of bus lanes between the mall and hospital. We cannot afford to make the same Davis mistakes on Yonge Street. We need GO Trains, not empty buses. I will ask Metrolinx to scrap the bus lanes on Yonge and invest in more GO Trains instead. Davis and Yonge are both Regional Roads and the Regional Councillors responsibility. VOTE WOLK for Regional Councillor this Monday to focus on YOUR issues for POSITIVE CHANGE!
