Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. ( 2014 ) Action / Drama. Dawn of the Planet of the apes was pretty impressive on two different levels. The first being a great story of betrayal among the apes and the second with be the fantastic effects. The acting was fine too but no one jumped out at me for any awards. This film takes place ten years after the first with the simian flu pretty much wiping out everything only leaving behind Malcolm ( Jason Clarke ) and his crew. The real tension begins in this film when one of the apes is shot for no reason by one of Clarkes men. From their the apes and man struggle to have a relationship as the group of men need to enter the woods to work on getting power back to the city to survive. Caesar ( leader of the apes ) is very smart and understanding of what the men are trying too do. So he is willing to work with them in order to keep peace and his people alive. But some of the other apes have a different mind set on the whole situation . . Rating: 8/10 đź‘Ť
