Dawns Spawn: DO WE REALLY OWN OUR POSSESSIONS? I wrote a poem called, The Balance, in Profound Vers-A-Tales. It addresses greed and success measured by material worth. Here are two verses. Read them with rhythm and rhyme to enjoy their effect: THE BALANCE: Fixation we experience with all things that we lease Shortsighted in our own belief that ownership will please This, even though we realize our molds not ours to keep Discarded when we exit for rewards wed like to reap We grasp for all that we can keep, not caring about the rest Our greed will often lead us to a fruitless, endless quest The more that we accumulate, the further we will stray From everything thats good and right; our virtues slip away Poetry Critics: Rhyme and rhythm four line stanzas in drama or lyric form is still the most enjoyable universal form of poetry. They are meant to be descriptive. See a previous post named, Katrina. It is written in free flow format. Kamil Ali. barnesandnoble/w/profound-vers-a-tales-kamil-ali/1016049167?ean=9781425189020
