Day 1- AKF NATIONALS WA DIARY ENTRY What a brilliant start to the day. Everyone was all fired up and ready to hop on the team bus first thing this morning, awesome work folks. Before we knew it, we were all being marshalled to commence the Opening Ceremony. Then there was no time to waste, it was time to get the game face on. And it was safe to say there were many game faces spread across the arena first thing this morning, with almost half the Tassie Team competing at the same time. Individual events were to follow, again with many faces from Tassie competing at the same time. They were certainly keeping the coaches very busy. By the end of the day there were a couple of Kumite events and that would then conclude a very busy day for the team. Now the part you were waiting for of course, the results from Day 1... Silver- Team- SNR Male Kata (Raj Doolabh, Mike Jones, Stuart Eaton) Bronze- Team- SNR Female Kata (Jessica Nankivell, Suzie Jones, Lynda Hudson) Bronze- Team- Cadet- Junior Kata Mixed (Kate Jones, Annalise Beechey, Finn ONeill) Bronze- Kata Individual female Veterans 35-45 (Suzie Jones) Bronze- Kata Individual male Veterans 35-45 (Stuart Eaton) So as you can see the Team were certainly very busy and everyone should be extremely proud of their efforts today. Its amazing to see how awesome Tassie are, not only competitors, but the coaches, referees, and the supporters who travel with the squad. You are all superstars and we wouldnt be this amazing with out the support of each other, not to mention the superstars who are supporting everyone back home. So keep up the great work for tomorrow folks. Nighty night.
