Day 1 of my 7-Day Positivity Challenge begins now! (see below, join in, and invite three of your friends to do the same) Thank you to Amy Guthier and Bob Barnett for issuing the challenge to me. You are both so inspirational to me and I happily accept. 1) I put my mobile phone away while I was at Starbucks. Free of distraction, I took in the love that I saw all in so many different faces, even on a Monday morning. There was the skinny man holding hands with the full-bodied woman as they looked into each others eyes laughing. The woman who was waving across the room to her friend asking what she wanted to drink because she wanted to order her drink. The two young college-guys studying together but talking about the concert coming up that they both wanted to see. A lot of love around us, always. 2) As I drove Francisco to ballet class this morning, he looked at me with a huge smile on his face and said with unbridled enthusiasm, I am SO happy! This declaration coming after working for 7 days consecutively, and going back to it again this afternoon, and deciding he will be performing on the big stage again after not having done so since 2007. He is soaring and he inspires me. 3) My dog Zeke is happiest when both of his daddies are home with him in Los Angeles. Like any dog, he loves his treats. Over the years, he has developed a little game that he likes to play before he devours his rawhide. We run to the closet together, I reach into the bag to grab the treat, he runs back around the couch waiting for me to toss it over to him. But before gobbling it down, he looks at me, waiting until I run around the couch too and try to take away his treat. We play a little until he takes off under the table with it. I guess it tastes a lot better when he gets to play too. In keeping with this challenge, today I challenge my three friends below to join me in posting and sharing 3 points of positivity in your own circles for the next seven days. It only takes a minute or two and gives you a reason each day to sit for a moment and reflect. Dana L Walker Heather Ferguson Jill Stoltzfus
