Day 1 of the 5 day art challenge. An artist friend of mine Dave Joly from my college days at AIB....has challenged myself and another friend Ken Condon to participate in sharing 3 pieces of my Art from way back up to the present.....for 5 consecutive days....how very cool !!! I love this concept and although I havent been frequenting facebook as much lately....for this challenge....I will rise to the occasion!!! For Day 1 I have chosen to share a couple of portraits from way back....as well as one of my personal favorites. The Three Stooges piece was a movie poster project from my senior year at AIB created on a colored Canson Paper with a monochromatic effect by using dark and light pencils for detail and using the paper as a middle ground shade. Kenny Rogers is one of my personal favorite portaits created over the years done in the same style as the Stooges....where the paper becomes a shade of color. President Regan was a pencil drawing ....also from my senior portfolio.....created for an editorial project in school...he once had a halo above his head which depicted an American flag.. I later removed it for salable purposes :)
