Day 10: Im still recovering from a cold, so I decided to go and see what my down stairs neighbors were up to in Lost World. I counted 8 bats, probably all pips. While wandering around, I went to a nook of the cave I never really looked closely at. There, in a sediment deposit, I noticed something white sticking out. It didnt look like calcite, and when I pulled it out I realized it was a tooth! Higher up I climbed and found a pile of other bones, which are all calcite encrusted. Just goes to show, if you keep a sharp eye out, and sometimes go exploring with no real purpose; there are new and unique discoveries to be made everywhere! Im fairly convinced it is a black bear tooth. Anybody else have an opinion? Ive already emailed Mr. Garton about it. It matches up perfectly with the black bear skull we have in the Natural History Museum.
