Day 10 #newalbum Press play! The evolution of a song. I held on to the song, Old Man Perez for three years, changing the melody as time went on. Here are the two (very) rough drafts leading to its final form. This is part of the reason I dont share rough drafts during the process- either it will be totally different or Im not able to express how it sounds in my head. Either way I take myself far too seriously, wait till I realize no one is paying attention Heehaw. My theory has always been the same, a Rolling Stone cover may convince people youre a genius but its what you do in your head, in the silence of your own thoughts, in a room with no one- that matters most.
