Day 10 of #HolidayHappiness #HappinessIsMine... Im happy bcs 8 months ago today, I went blind...Literally...for 5 days....and today I have my gift of sight back. Its not what it was before, but Im not in the dark (pun intended), and Im grateful. And happy. Im happy I dont have to live on edge like I did for those days bcs of hearing things and smelling things (I swear I could hear a bike pedaling from down the street and smell things a half mile away). Im happy that my other senses didnt fail me (well not at the same time and not immediately). Im happy that I strengthened my trust in my daughters, who took care of me. Im happy that I was able to sit in silence with my thoughts as images of memories flashed through my mind. Im happy that now, I dont take for granted not only seeing a sunrise or sunset, but seeing the beautiful babies my friends and family have. Im happy to see a smile. Im happy to see ants walk along a path, as they carry food back to their home. Im happy to see my daughters smiles and playfulness with each other as well as the arguing. Im happy that I still get to see the awesomely amazing and fantastically spectacular posts made by those on my friends list. Im happy that I blink. Im happy that I can see my bacon as I eat it. Definitely. Yeah. Im #happy.
