Day 10 of my Bible verse challenge: Elections, righteousness, and healing I never plan these verses ahead of time. I just look for inspiration and start typing away. That being said, I just left the early voting booth in Broward County. Over the past several years, I have grown more and more disillusioned by the American political machine and by both major political parties. A staunch conservative, and a stick to the knitting type guy, I believe that we we were founded as one nation under God and more is expected of us because of the works of our founders (remember: Matthew 25:23 His master said to him, ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. Since you were faithful in small matters, I will give you great responsibilities. Come, share your master’s joy.’). As time goes on, however, I worry that we are becoming less of a nation under God and more of a nation over hell. I continue to believe that loyalty to God is a two way street and the mind of God remains unchanged. He is the same God Who destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for lack of righteousness. So heres my verse for day 10. Get out there and cast your healing vote and pray for righteous leadership. We are sick and need healing: Matthew 9:12 He heard this and said, “Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do. Lastly, heres an awesome clip from a 1970s John Wayne variety show that celebrated American history (its a quick, but great watch) m.youtube/watch?v=aMKPyGdUQUU
