Day 102 – Making up for lost time. There was no update for day 101. It was the first day since the start of the project that I did no good deed, not to me, my family or anyone else. A 24 hour bug descended on the house and it was grim. The good thing about 24 hour bugs is that they are over in 24 hours. Today in order to make up for my missed day I did two giveaways. This is day one of the elimination diet and it is dull. Success will only be achieved if I’m not faced with temptation at every turn, definitely time to rid the house of any good stuff. A lovely chilled bottle of wine was given to a friend. The kids and I turned the butter, sugar, eggs and so on into cherry and oat biscuits which we packaged up and handed out to the neighbours. One neighbour insisted that we took home her perfectly golden baked gingerbread in exchange. Our daughter was dazzled by the gingerbreads perfect star form and the Smartie decoration made her almost giddy with delight. Our oatie cherry offerings were certainly rustic by comparison.
