Day 11 #HealthySpine - SBK Supta Baddha Konasana (reclined bound angle pose). I love love love this pose. I have been known to sleep like this. ▼ Lie on your back. Soles of feet together, knees fall open. You can also take one hand to your heart (less dominant hand) and the other to your stomach (the hand you write with). Remain here for 3-5 breath cycles (the inhale and the exhale) or longer. ▼ Modifications: Tight inner thighs, groin or knee injuries... Place blocks, blankets, pillows, your dog, or other props under the knees to add support. ▼ Benefits: Stimulates abdominal organs and the heart. Improves general circulation. Stretches the inner thighs, groin, and medial (inside) knee. Helps relieve the symptoms of stress, mild depression, menstruation and menopause.
