Day 11: Thankful for memory.We can not stop or slow time so I am thankful God equipped us with memory so we can treasure the moments of sweet newness even after the minutes slip through our fingers. We cant stay the person we were when we were young so I am thankful for memory that allows us to savior still what it felt like to be in the blush of youth so we have empathy for those tripping carelessly through inexperience. We can not keep those we love from leaving this life so I am thankful for memory so we can tell stories of how we loved, were loved by and changed by their place in our lives. I am thankful for memory so we can laugh and sigh over the story of us we created living special moments and especially the ordinary moments. I am thankful for memory because now would not be the same with no memories of then. I miss desperately those who are only reachable now through memories. I treasure memory.
