Day 11 Thankful for my career My patents always told me to get a decent job Well 6 credits short of a criminal justice degree and nursing program had an open spot.... A nurse now of over 20 years of experience! Seen a lot Been to a lot of funerals! I know I make a difference but there was a nursing shortage when I began my career and there still is a nursing shortage today! If you are looking for a challenge come to nursing as you will be amazed! No 2 days are the same and you help people in so many different ways! Its not easy but its worth the hard work Most of all I am on vacation this week with except Wednesday and a work meeting Thursday:) Going to enjoy myself! Its exhausting work but wouldnt change! Whats great about nursing are the options! Work in a nursing home or hospital or prison or home care or cancer center! I have done it all Flexibility is whats all about! Proud to be a real nurse!
