Day 12-14 The choir is doing very well...we were able to make excellent progress on planning and our strategy for moving forward, so check, a big sigh of relief. The choir, community and elders welcomed Mandy and I with song, food, gifts and the honor of having a formal community meeting to let us share our ideas. After hours of formalities and Q & A, we verbally agreed on an action plan. I will provide greater detail and share additional materials upon my return to the States, but in the meantime, Mandy and I are strong travel companions as she is open-minded and willing to put herself out there to learn. We make a good team as we continue to be immersed in a culture different than our own and stand in the face of many challenges. To try and summarize this process would be utter nonsense because while here in Tanzania there are so many contradictions, complications and opposing views that one must tread lightly with open ears and heart, but one also must practice great caution and apply a steady sense of confidence to be able to achieve the goals.
