Day +127 🎉🎩HAPPY NEW YEAR🎩🎉 Kyle fell asleep way before midnight but was up around 2 & again at 4 looking for a snack then starving by 5 so we made a trip downstairs & got some coffee-cafeteria was still closed. Its been so nice having him walk with me places to get things past few days! His diarrhea has slowed down a lot & they made the diarrhea meds PRN instead of scheduled to see how the GVHD is doing. Hes still eating reAllly good. We are going to work on eating a GVHD friendly diet as soon as we are out of here its too hard for him inpatient. Blood sugar is off the charts lately they are having to readjust his insulin scale again... He snacks all day & eats 3-4 meals so its hard to control but they dont want to limit anything hes eating. He feels really good just having these stupid complications & a little emotional.. His emotions did seem better yesterday & they are working on getting the other things fixed up & a future plan. GVHD is some rough stuff. Hes now had it in eyes, skin (whole body), upper GI, & lower GI. They anticipate his blood clot to resolve with the meds they started yesterday... It will be closely monitored & he has to exercise that arm with a stress ball to help this process.
