Day 13.... Well after the op and the morphine scare was afraid todays entry would be a bit floppy...;-) So I was monitored closely for a few hours and had lots of intravenous saline and pain killers. ..to hydrate me or flush the morphine further. ..bit of both I think....cant be sure but the nurse who had the paddles on the crash cart seemed to be giving me the evils. ...does it work on a rota I wonder (spelt correct after my wondering faux pas)... Well the saline and the feeding tube flush guaranteed a full bladder...pishing (Neil Raikes) 6 times through the night...into a bottle. ..after struggling up... Feeding tube flush for 12hours starting at 1.00pm...aye cheers for that one...at 1.00am...you are allowed to drink now...aye cheers again. ... Clumsy staff during the night, falling over my table and feed tube pump stand...then fecking removing my cannular in the dark...ffs...Im seriously looking round for the tv cameras when Im mobile enough... Breakfast not allowed toast smelt so much better than I did...sorry guys... Then......a visit to the toilet. ..I wont do graphics folks but I needed medical reassurance. .. Met by the dietician coming out...having had impromptu shower... Who told me she doesnt want me losing any weight. ..aye right. ..I am getting back in 33 waist 501s again. Beans and lentils she is recommending. ..must be trying to get my scooter to go faster..!!!!! Showered , dressed and shaved...with the biggest pile of shoite rechargeable shaver I have ever pushed around my face...must work better on vacation after all.... Was told eating at lunch and I was to have cottage pie...except they ran out...not bad eh ...so mashed potato with a semolina type skin on..then banana in what tasted like custard but looked like drunk persons sick... Me auld mucker Geoff Anscombe came in to see me...was well made up...even if his tales of Weston scooter rally were interrupted by the Bodminite moved into the bed next door.... Another visit from Swifty too, who sat on a curtain and ripped the pole apart to mark her arrival. .. No damage done, fixed by Geoff. .. Mushroom soup...ahh heaven for tea before a visit from No 1 Alex Anderson and as Dave Middlemas proclaims The first lady of the Scooter Scene... Emma Deejay Cox the iced caramel frappe a welcome gift... So a start on the blog and Im told Im now being released from surgical ward to the cancer (Lowen) ward.. Suddenly apprehensive. ..Im about to meet others on a similar journey. .Jimmy has been a massive help in describing his journey.. .Im about to visualise others. . Bags packed on bed ready for the next leg. ... Kx
