Day 13 of our Trip, trip being the appropriate characterization since we spent the day with Dali. I think because of the number of pictures that I want to post, I will break it up into three parts, The 3 Ds, Dali Museum, Dali Home, and, of course, Dinner. We drove south into Spain and the city of Figueres where Dali, the ultimate self-promoter, built HIS museum in the ruins of a former theatre destroyed during the Spanish Civil War. He lived there the last 7 years more or less of his life; he died in January 1989. We are all familiar with Dalis work, so I have attached photos of what I thought to be a beautiful and unusual ceiling sculpture, Dalis bedroom in the museum, what I found to be Dalis warning to me about the ever present dangers of the relationship between French foods, wine and gout, and the invitation from Don Dali, himself, to visit his home in Portlligat.
