Day +133: A bunch of good news today that requires a list! * Platelets hitting a PB of 120! * Picking up the referral to see a private neurologist next Wednesday! Fantastic news as the public system was a 3-6 month wait. Will be good to get this neuropathy (foot pain issue) looked at * Finding out that our new Dr on the Sunshine Coast worked on the BMT ward and so is more than just a haematologist/oncology type specialist. This makes us feel much more confident about being treated at home. Also the Dr works out of Selangor and the new Uni Private Hospital. This is awesome for a few reasons. It means that for simple future hospitalisations like infections Damien can likely be treated on the coast. He can also be treated privately so able to get his own room and those perks. All this means that we have a better chance of staying on the coast and unless his Graft vs Host Disease flares up we may not have to move back to Brisbane again. We will always like those in witness protection have to be prepared to change our lives at a moments notice but this gives us many more options than automatically having Brisbane based treatment. * WE MAY GET TO GO HOME SOON! Ironically it is looking like the 18th of Jan exactly one year since diagnosis!
