Day 14 - PGA Golf Championship and Magic Kingdom Sorry, its a long one! The post that is 😉 Up at 9am, all of us this time. Had a conversation with Laura last night, whilst she was asleep. So funny, she was shouting at me and asking me questions! And shouting at me for not answering them.... Anyway, as requested by Laura, we are went for breakfast at the Golden Corral. $36 plus tip. Although the food was plentiful and varied, it was just ok and Laura was so disappointed that there were no hash browns, Im glad we went but probably wont be going again this trip. Off for a round or two of golf and todays course of choice is at Winter Wonderland by Blizzard Beach. OMG, talk about hot, we were all melting. The first round was played in the Summer Course, which I won and the second round on the Winter course which Laura won!!!! Both of our scores were best of the day and we had certificates, photos and a free ball each! Go Disney. We had to go back to the hotel cause we were all soaked with sweat....errrr! Jo and I went off to the Florida Mall, after cooling down and drying off, whilst the kids stopped in the hotel for swimming, basketball and internet surfing. Jo bought 2 Pandora charms, which were really nice, I paid but she said she would pay me back😉. Went for a Starbucks, naturally, then Walmart on the way home for more provisions and another $57 lighter on lip balm, pop and also a memory card for Jos phone. Back to hotel to freshen up and off to MK via CiCis, also a first for the Elwells and for $38 it was fantastic value. You never know what your gonna get? (Film) Excellent food, pizzas, staff etc and apple pie pizza sounds wrong but isnt, believe me, as was the lemon meringue pizza, so try it if you have the chance, we were all really impressed. Off to MK so we typed it in the sat nav and it took us to MK, not the car park but to the actual park and as we drove past The Comtempory Resort - worrying, then Space mountain, the castle, splash mountain in fact a complete lap around the park and then we started to panic. Then we passed the Grand Floridian and then the Polynesian Resort, Eventually found our way to the car park and we missed the payment car booth. I am now sweating more than this morning at the golf, we are bound to be arrested and court marshalled by a Disney SWAT team led by Samuel L Jackson. Feeling guilty at this point but still carried on and boarded the monorail. Then I had a tap on the shoulder and someone said, are you Paul? - Weve read your blog. Well after I stopped blushing we were introduced to a lovely family, Amanda Glen, husband Gary and kids Courtney and Jack. Wow, to meet someone who has taken time to read the drivel Ive done was really special and the kids teased me about this all night. Anyway, Into MK and to Customer Services to hand myself in! Told them what happened and they let me off with 200 hrs community service! Then photos and off to Mermaid ride. Ok but not as good as MGM. FP on space next, different inside than driving round it! Saw the Glen family again and had a quick selfie lol. Soft scoop for me next and then Jo and I found a space for the electric parade whilst the kids enjoyed the rides. 90 mins waiting and people watching, love it. RANT - now I love everything about Disney but when you are waiting for 90 mins, behind the masking tape on the floor, and your legs, arms, bum etc are all numb and its so hot, you dont want families trying to push in to the available 5cm square available space between JO and myself. Got to say that the Disney staff were so patient with people and made sure no one encroached on spaces which people had been in for so long - RANT OVER. So we watched the parade, very cool, whilst the kids were off enjoying themselves, so we thought. We then made contact with them, by phone, and they couldnt find us. There were two Disney Cast Members, who did everything for us and the kids, who were Pam and Rafael who were soooooo helpful. We eventually met up with the kids, just in time for Wishes, which was and is FANTASTIC. We then left the park, saw and thanked Pam again, who cried when we thanked her, and went to City Hall again, to Customer Services again and only saw the same women as earlier!! She must of thought I was a write one. We filled in reports, thanking the two Cast Members and then went on our way. My community service was reduced to 180 hours 😄. We finally left the park, walked to the car, which wasnt clamped or hadnt been towed away, and went home. Great day with plenty of stories for the future and meeting fellow FB users.......bloody brilliant! TTFN Paul xxxx
