Day 14 update: Firstly Thanks so much for all the prayers and support :-)) Im still in hospital - been taken care of by the amazing staff here on E5... In the last 2 days Ive noticed a couple of things ... Im really hungry and Im feeling more normal - As in less hot flushes, a little more energy and temp below 37 ! ... No longer on a restricted diet - All IV lines are gone now and just the fluid drain remains, though virtually nothing coming out now (infection leaving)... Hope that line comes out today... Its very painful to sit up due to tail end wound but, Im on my feet more often and been on a couple of longer walks along the corridors. Equilibrium on my feet has changed too... Sleep has also improved ... Abdomen is as expected, very sore and tender ... It will be a few more weeks for the surgical wounds to heal completely and the stoma swelling to come down ... Small victories are very encouraging - hoping to get home by the weekend ... Alun God is Good ... All the time
