Day 142/Day 83-------September 25th--------This will be a short report because we were pretty busy all day. Bob was able to go to the shower room this morning with help and he also got to shave. After he got back a tech came and rewrapped his hand and wrist and put a small bandage on his foot and then they put the compression stocking on. After lunch we all went up to the gym and he worked on his standing and balance. Next was walking with the platform walker and he is making good progress in strength and stabillity. The last thing he did was use the computerized leg bicycle for twenty minutes. Once he had done that we headed back to our room. Before he settled down for a nap he asked me to take his request for some added food for dinner to the desk. After I did that he said he was ready for a nap so I got my computer out and checked my email, the bank account, and then facebook. I started nodding off so I decided to take a nap. Bob woke me up a little later asking for his wheelchair so I got up and got it for him and once he was in the bathroom he said I could go back and lay down. When the dinner trays arrived most of his extras were on the tray and the aides radioed down for the rest. It started raining just about the time we finished eating and it continued for the rest of the evening. The weather man said that the higher elevations would be getting some snow. I think it is a little earlier than usual but the mountains really need the moisture. There is a major cold front moving down and across from the northwest. The rest of the evening I watched tv and Bob slept. He woke up at 9:00 and we watched the season opener of CSI and then the news until the sports report. I changed the channel when that came on and we watched Mountain Men on History Channel and some shows on Food Network. That is all for now. I will post more tomorrow.
