Day #148: A few realizations came to me on this walk. The streetwalker comment, while true in a sense, I also realized I better never have to count on that to make a living or I will be more broke than I am now. I needed this walk to clear my mind and for the first 3 1/2 miles thats just what I did. It was a little humid, but not really hot, so that was good. There were a lot of people out in town, unfortunately I didnt know about 2/3 of them. There used to not be a handful of people in this town I didnt know. Thats definitely not the case now. I did see Kim, Coon, Ed & Bonnie, Michael Frank & Melanie and Thomas though, so that was good also. The last 1/2 mile was ruined by the asshole in the silver/gray GMC near the ballpark that thought it would be funny to flip the remainder of his lit cigarette at me. It hit me in the shoulder and not the face thank God, but the mere thought that someone would do that is beyond my comprehension. The funniest part was when I yelled a few choice words and flipped them the finger, they hit their brakes and acted like they were going to pull over. While facing them and standing on the side of the road and now giving them two fingers, they both have me the finger and drove off. Yelling at me I can handle. Laughing at me? That just motivates me. But dont throw anything at me, especially something on fire. And if youre going to do it, be a big boy and stop and give me a chance to throw something back. Just another day walking the streets of a town I dont really know anymore. Be safe and enjoy your Saturday night friends.
