Day 15 LAST DAY. I Started walking at 6am from Ngurah Rai Jimbaran heading to Denpasar. As I began walking my mind drifted off to my first morning of this walk when I left Elisama15 days ago. As I headed towards Nusa Dua on the open bypass road with the sun beating down at an unbelievably early hour I felt this was the last part of the challenge. I had my first break at 9.3km in the side of the road really feeling the need for a caffeine hit. From there I made my way through the airport area and on to Denpasar. Unfortunately for me the shade was on the other side so the sun was bouncing straight off the road back onto my face. At the 20 km mark I had my last rest on a bamboo platform. From there I plodded on along the outer streets of Denpasar. This last route seemed to go in forever. As I turned the corner and saw Ayu from Elisama I realized I had made it! I was welcomed with so many familiar smiles and beautiful flowers, while I tried very hard to keep my emotions in check. Next was to call my family who I am missing terribly, then Putu, Leo and I had to do the ice bucket. challenge. It was a great way to end an amazing journey. I am now resting in a hotel in Tuban listening to the rain knowing tomorrow is totally a day of rest. Thank you everyone for your prayers, best wishes, kind words of encouragement.
