Day +15 SCT Sorry so late Austin is still in ICU in isolation on 24 hour dialysis. Austin still has the rotavirus and today positive for Adenovirus. Since my last update Austin has had low blood pressure and was on 3 blood pressure medicines. Also during this time Austin has GRAFTED which caused strain on his heart which caused blood pressure issues. Now we are waiting for the blood cells to recover so far the cells look good. Maybe in about two more weeks they will do a bone marrow aspiration and we will know more. Todays heart echo showed improvement from Sunday echo. Austin is now off all blood pressure medicines as of today. On Monday the mucositis was pretty much gone and he was able to have sips of water. Today he is on a clear liquid diet and drank 20 0z of water. Austin was so happy with this little goal! Austin is still on TPN and they have started his feeds back up through his feeding tube on a low setting and on low O2 setting. In the last 5 days Austin has had 5 blood transfusions and 8 platelet transfusions.(I am sure there is more but I so sleep sometimes) The current plan is Austin has to stay stable for at least 24 hours with heart and blood pressure then try again to go to intermittent dialysis.
