Day 15 Saturday , January 15 , 2014 “...and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.” Ephesians 6:15 “…snatch others from the fire and save them….” Jude 1:23 In a war there are always two parts to the strategy, the offensive and the defensive. It is the same in spiritual warfare. We must not only protect ourselves from the attacks of the enemy but also literally go into the territory of the enemy to take back what belongs to God. Notice that these are strong words that Jude uses. We must be violent for God, determined to succeed because what is at stake are lives, ours and those of our friends who also need Jesus. 2 Timothy 4:2 tell us “Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction.” We must be watchful of opportunities to go into the enemy’s camp. At times preaching Jesus will not be convenient for us. But if we are passionate about seeing changed lives we won’t wait for our Pastor to tell us to preach or minister. We won’t wait until it is programmed into our calendar or until we have some free time. We will also do it with patience. If we make this part of our lifestyle, sharing Jesus becomes natural just like putting our shoes on. We will then be a more effective army in the Kingdom of God. It is time to go into the offensive. Pray so that God can help you be alert to the opportunities to share about Jesus with someone else. If you have not done so already, make a list of your friends and relatives that still need Jesus and intercede for them. Encourage your children to do the same.
