Day 17 - I am thankful for the short, 12 lb, four legged member of our family. Her name is Emmi and I love her to death. She is a rescue dog. She and her brothers and sisters were all in a shelter and I believe there were 12 of them all different ages. The boys went with me to get a dog from the shelter and they let all of them out at one time and all the other dogs went to the boys, except for this one and she landed right in my lap. The family will probably tell you she hasnt left my lap since we got her. I have always be told that animals are good therapy but never believed it until Emmi came to live with us. What unconditional love. I wish people would learn from pets how to love each other unconditionally.
