Day 17 #bestrongin2015 Eight Angle Pose. 3 options: 1⃣ Start seated with legs out in front. Bring one leg (in this case right leg) back and try and get your knee behind the shoulder as much as possible. Like donning a backpack. Lift your left leg and cross the ankles. Hold that for dear life and begin to lean forward as if you were in Chaturanga. The key is having that leg securely behind the shoulder. As you lean forward your butt will begin to lift off the floor. Keep those ankles crossed and straighten the bottom leg. 2⃣ if thats easy then try transitioning in from Elephant Trunk Pose. Get the knee behind the shoulder and just press up, sucking in the core and keeping the left leg straight. Lean forward and swing the left leg under to meet the right and cross the ankles. 3⃣ For more advanced, once you get into 8 angle, try unlocking the legs and swinging your left leg under you to Eka Pada Koudinyasana. Lift the belly up and in to prevent your legs from touching the floor. 4⃣ Remember this all takes TIME and practice. Work at the stage you are at and dont think too far ahead. The more you do it the easier it will get.
