Day +197/+58 Another awesome day! Mister started out with occupational therapy this morning. We had him on the floor, flipping pages in a book and putting together a puzzle. While she was holding him in the standing position, he moved like he wanted to take steps. Of course, he couldnt because he doesnt have the strength, but we celebrated like he did! Then speech came in. He is doing so well! He has been drinking water and eating ice chips, but today, we tried formula! We only gave him a little since we werent sure how his tummy would handle the extra formula. He also took a few bites of a saltine cracker and 7 bites of yogurt! The therapist and nutritionist were impressed! Hopefully, well have a new feeding plan tomorrow. He will still need the feeding tube, but we need to start getting him to take things by mouth. After speech left, physical therapy came in. She worked on helping him build his core and upper arm strength today. After a little struggle, he was able to sit up from laying on his tummy. We also had him on his knees again today. After his busy day, hes down for the count! When he wakes up Ill give him a bath and we will do our laps around the nurses station.
