Day 2: From Bombay the boys carried on, at first their plan was to travel along State Highway 2 > 27 but after getting some sound advice from the very helpful locals the decision was made it would be better to stick to State Highway 1. Along the way they met a very inviting lady, very intrigued with what they were doing she brought them into her home and generously fed them a bacon and egg breakfast! It is so heart warming to know there are people out their in our community who are always willing to supply food and warm shelter, it really does make you proud to be a Kiwi!.. Unfortunately only day 2 and we had a man down.. Hamish Wing suffered a knee injury but we are hoping this will not hold him back.. he is doing his best to join up with his comrades after a bit of recovery time and continue on the walk. They set up shop for the night in the small town of Rangiriri (about a 10 minute drive North of Huntly), so far the boys have clocked a total of approximately 78km!
