Day 2 Make A Wish trip! We had a lot fun today, again there are tons of photos on my camera that I havent had a chance to upload, but tried to remember to take more with the phone today. plus we have our online photo access to all the photos the employee & cast members take. So this upload is long and they probably will be long during our trip :) We went to Universal Studios today and plan to do the other Universal park, Island of Adventure tomorrow. We woke up, and ate breakfast here at GKTW. Give Kids The World Village is awesome, it is a resort for wish kids only, mainly when a kid has a orlando flordia wish, Make A Wish or whatever wish organization will arrange dates with gktw, arrange transportation to flordia, back, and while here, they also give spending money for each day. GKTW does the rest, its a NPO resort thats ran by donations and volunteers! They give the park tickets, they lodging, meals 3 times a day + snacks, pizza delivery, & all you can eat ice cream! They have tons to do. GKTW has characters Mayor Clayton and Miss Merry, they have a different party every night of the week including halloween and christmas no matter the time of year. Theres arcade rooms, playgrounds, pools, rides, fishing pond, horse rides, and so much more. So much that we still havent walked around the entire place. This place is really cool :) so this morning when we arrived at universal Despicable Me was one of the first rides we ran into. Lyla was super excited. It is a 3d stimulated seat ride. It was pretty intense though, pretty jerky and Lyla wasnt to scared but didnt like it. She got her pictures taken with a minion and got a little minion plush too ;) next we did Shrek which is another stimulated theater seat ride but we opt for the non stimulated seats, its was scary for Lyla though even though shes seen the short film they play, the halloween film where lord farquaad is a ghost (its on dvd) Lyla hated it, it spits water too. After that she didnt want to do anything :/ bad mistake. I really wanted her to do ET because she loves the movie so much but she didnt want to so she and trevor played on the playground there while I rode it... Loved It! The. They came in and got pictures taken with ET (Cutest) Lyla also had to have a ET doll which I have been planning to get way before we came :) I came when I was Lylas age and a ET doll was one of my souvenirs. Lyla was saying she didnt want any rides, so we watched a animal actors show. Marley from Marley and Me, Frank from MIB, & Rosebud from Buddies along with a bunch if other very well trained animals did a very cute show and after Lyla had a private meet and greet with Rosebud. All this happened rather fast because we dont have to wait in lines, we go through exits and right to the front of the line. We were making our way and round the park and caught the tail end on the parade. Ly got photos with Hop characters too, she really enjoys all the characters. Then she saw the Simpsons alien ride.. goes around and up and down. She was excited, loved it and road it twice in a row ;) I was glad she wanted to ride because before that she didnt want anything to do with rides anymore. She played some games won some Simpsons plush characters, she enjoyed Springfield even though she has no idea who the Simpsons are LOL. Next was Harry Potter Dragon Ally. We talked to the talking head on the bus who said Ho Lyla, your from TX, everythings bigger there LOL and we took some pics. By this time we were starving. So what better place to go than Leaky Cauldrons. We drank frozen Butterbeer, which Lyla really really liked, and had had a good English meal. Lyla hated the dragon that spits fire, I made the mistake of walking right under it when it growls and spits fire, btw very loud and hot! We checked out the stores and what not there and I rode the Harry Potter 3d coaster, which was awesome, then Lyla was dozing off so we headed back to the front, stopped for the biggest coaster in that park and did our first child swap. Lyla got to go up to to the ride with us, trevor went then got off sat with ly while I went... I learned I cant do intense coasters anymore. This one goes straight up 100% vertical and slowly, the drops, goes upside down and does all kinds of crazy stuff. I had had a intense head ache before we even got to the top to drop. No more crazy coasters for me. On our way out we got some photos with Shrek and talking donkey. Lyla also really enjoyed the escalating walk ways LOL she though those were awesome. Trevor and i thought for sure she was pass out no time on on the car but she didnt at all, I guess she didnt want to miss anything. Once back we rest in in the villa for a little bit the. Ly and I did did a few things around gktw. We went to to the pillow tree where Lyla helped make a pillow and she also wrote her name on on a star to add to the star tower. Its beautiful all all the kids make make star and the go up lining lining the ceilings. We expored some and Lyla got a airbrush tattoo at at the spa. Dinner time was next next then we went to the pool party. Ly and I swam in on the heated pool which was nice, getting out however was not nice lol it was pretty chilly until dried off. We made it back to the villa and called It a night! Oh what what a full day! We have seen how a full day can go and have kind of decided where we will go and when the next 4 days. And And now its time for for me to get some sleep like the other two :)
