Day 2: The 8 limbs consist of 8 branches. One wants to work on - TopicsExpress

Day 2: The 8 limbs consist of 8 branches. One wants to work on all of them at once, and when you start to work on one, you start to work on another naturally, so it is very organic. The limbs are: Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, and Samadhi. The 8 limbs are a path to live by, not to strive for perfection, but to use as a tool and a framework on your path to enlightenment or self-realization. If you missed yesterdays post (Day 1), here it is. There is so much more to yoga than the physical. When we strengthen ourselves we seek to strengthen not just the physical body, but the mental body, the emotional body and the spiritual body. The 8 limbs are are path we can follow to create more ease in our lives and connectedness in our relationships. In celebration of reaching 30,000+ likes, everyday we will post a lesson about the 8 limbs. Today is #day1.
